On top of 2000 bodies washing ashore, 10,000+ people confirmed dead, and a third nuclear reactor failing along with the others that power the country, Japan is now at risk of the radiation that is leaking from these reactors. Add that many survivors are now homeless and now need food and water.

Jesus, this is all getting too hard to check on everyday. It really unsettles me because there are many japanese students at my school, and I can't even imagine what must be going through their heads right now. Not only that, but a few of my friends were tying to work their way over there before this all happened.

Well yeah continue to hide, continue your ignorance and we??ll see then...

In 1986 Ukrainian Chernobyl reactor had its core melt down and all of us in Europe had our juicy doses of unwanted and unwelcome nuclear radiation..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chernobyl_disaster<BR>
Northern hemisphere Jet stream running just above north of Japan (where this tragedy happening) heading toward US west coast, Canada, Alaska??_!

Those juicy stuff are heading right at your door step and you will have to live with this mess from now on in your daily routine lives, prepare your mind first before preparing your body.. the adaptation might be hard on the moral once the public know this to be true and start getting ill.

Are you scared yet..?

Tiny Japan with tight population of 127 million and only 10,000 deaths..? Hardly believable!

Give or take it must be around 50,000 by now if not more.

There really ISNT any preparation one can do for that type of crisis. Which was my reasoning for NOT paying attention.

Like I said, sooner or later it WILL be your problem; don't shrug it off by saying —I try not to pay attention??.

Pay attention and follow up..! You are living in internet age, use the tool for investigations, if we had this kind of technology back in 80??s we could have prevented a lot of problems caused by Chernobyl disaster.

Fuck\'em! Building a nuclear power plant in the country would be like having a gun to their heads, but they, the people who construct these plants, all ways assume that they have enough security and stability to maintain a catastrophe such as this one, and when the disaster begins such as the meltdown in Japan, they begin to bit their lips hoping for the best

Besides the japanese are very organized in a crisis such as this one, and they are well aware of the outcomes of looting or pandemonium (cost for rebuiling public or private property is $ $ $ ), so they stay home and do as the government tells them, even if they don\'t completely trust them, but they haven\'t even broken into one of their vending machines (have you seen those machines?! They have everything to eat and to drink in those machines), and that is impressive by American standards. Hell, go to American, and people will riot over a Laker\'s championship...Just as bad as a European riot over a soccer game.

In California, we have two nuclear power plants that are near the coast of the sea: One in San Onofre near San Clemente and the other in Diablo canyon near San Luis Obispo. The San Onofre power plant is only capable of standing against a 7.0 earthquake, but Japan carried a magnitude of a 9.0, although the japanese power plant was capable of withstanding against the quakes, the waves of the water swapping the facility kicked it ass.

Watch the fuck out California, but mother nature is evil eying you next!
