LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

Did you get a synth? What one do you have? I haven't touched mine in quite some time.
Thanks!!

I made this with btv solo which I bought on sale for $ 7. I'll be honest I don't have a midi keyboard so I had to make every single beat and sound with a computer keyboard which isn't really responsive. It took me 3 days to make a 2:10 song lol. Getting everything to be timed right was chaotic, especially the drum beat and the low horns. It kept thinking I was hitting random notes rather then a steady beat, or the timing would be slightly off on certain notes. Add that to the fact I was still getting use to the learning curve and kept accidentally deleting my patterns it was a mess lol. I ended up with 20 patterns with different names by the end of it, and I only used 13.

Anyway I absolutely love this beat maker, and can't wait to invest in a midi keyboard and more sounds.

Hmmm, say, would you be willing to take on a commission?

A year ago I hired one guy to recreate this intro for me, and supply it in multitrack format. Both layers separate (synth, piano). 4 months later he only did a half-assed synth track. I'm like "what the hell am I supposed to do with this? I expected the piano as well". Long story short, my Aries placements took over and I told him to shove it up his lazy ass.

I'd do it myself if I could, but for some reason I'm tone-deaf when it comes to identifying chords and programming them into electronic sheet music (midi) so I can use it in a DAW. I'm good at rearranging existing sounds, like this one. I extended the studio intro, added the bass starting at 0:45 and the intro symbals, wanted to replicate the intro from an earlier tour.

I'll gladly pay you $ 20-30 for it.

That's really cool! I have never used a program like that before and yeah, I can imagine it would be much more difficult and time consuming that way. But you nailed it!! I cannot figure out how to work the looper on my Roland yet so I have had zero luck at overlaying tracks like you have. Not an easy task! LOL

Awesome job! Sounds great 😄

With the right hardware, programs, and something you're comfortable with it's quite easy. My stuff just takes forever because I'm critical on myself and spend lots of time improvising, trying out new sounds, and messing up lol.

Here's a video I found on how simple looping can be. It might help.

Basically you just start with a blank slate with different tracks. Then you just keep adding stuff till you like it. For the one I made I started with a basic intro then just kept progressing it. What I have is 13 patterns each consisting of tracks with beats on them. Then I just put them into the order I wanted and fine tuned everything.
