...get a bad rap.

Agree or Disagree?

Obviously you all know I agree. lol..no brainer.

I agree to it because this country is falling apart due to a lack of them or when they do come out, it's usually too late and swept under the carpet.

The truth about whistleblowers is that at the time they blow the whistle, they'll get punished.
A person who chooses to do it has to know that in the short term, they're going to get fired from their job, villainized or what have you.

Whistleblowing takes a certain amount of courage.

Take Edward Snowden. Whistleblower or criminal? Depends on who you ask. Personally, I think its both. He pulled aside the curtain to show the world something the US government did not want people to see.

Yea..I went back and forth on this. To be fair both, and the courage it took gained respect from many. Apparently respect doesn't give you an island or millions to buy one... 😢

Money IS the obstacle.

I think in the end he did a good thing with respect to the NSA sweeping up all communications and trying to build "social networks" on citizens of the US.
Nothing good is going to come of that.

God bless'em!! If it wasn't for them, the truth would never be exposed. They do get a bad rap.

Technically, they are supposed to be immune, but I guess it just depends exactly who you're blowing the whistle on.

And yeah, you need the money for a good defense, if you're going to take that risk. :/
