Yes Alex, it's scarily cultish for sure. We weren't allowed to smoke, drink, have sex, dance, listen to music, celebrate Christmas or Birthdays (because they were Pagan celebrations), have blood transfusions and more....

I went on to do all those things.....big style 🌟inc the blood transfusion.....the ultimate rebellion haha..

It's probably on a par with the Catholic Church except the JWs don't have sex with children as far as I know, but then again the ministers were allowed to get married and therefore have sex with adults...

The Jehovah's witness woman I know is a source of constant frustration to her husband as she doesn't have oral sex, I don't think she even receives. ☺️

I can laugh about it and he tells me she wasn't that religious when they first met, but she got "sucked" deeper into the beliefs by her JW friends and now doesn't even wear lowcut tops. He's a libra Pisces moon and we all know how they like to punish themselves.

I'm not surprised you rebelled being a Scorpio. There is something about JW that goes against inherent biology and natural human curiosity, that said some people find it beneficial and I really envy the community spirit of religious groups.

Haha at getting "sucked in" or not as is the case 😋with your mate's woman. But seriously, yes it can brainwash people who need some kind of life crutch to lean on. That's tough on him if she's become more entrenched in the dogma of it.....no fun in that, sounds like she's putting her beliefs over him.

Community spirit is lovely, I'm lucky enough to live in a close knit environment ....i think most of us are looking for a family of sorts? Do you ever do group work? I've always found that very supportive, to be with like minded people who you can be yourself with. I did a year long Personal Development course, which was amazing and life changing...
