Anybody seen anything by this guy? I just saw Promise Me This (2007) and it's a terrible movie in every aspect, especially if you consider he's made such great films as Time Of The Gypsies (1988), Underground (1995) and Black Cat, White Cat (1998). So anybody seen anything by Emir Kusturica, or am I the only guy in here who's into European cinema?

I loooove Emir Kusturica! He and Woody Allen (another Sag) are my favorite directors by far. Your profile says you're from Dubrovnik .. what a beautiful city. I was there a few years ago for a conference and looved it. Which admittedly was due in part to a certain Croatian guy..Do you happen to know of this little cafe on the adriatic called Buza?

I'll be checking out Woody Allen too, for a movie buff I've been kind of lazy on that department.

Well don't shy away from telling us details about this Croatian guy 😉 Yes I know about Buza, that's where all the fun is. Let me know if you're coming back, I'm an excellent guide lol

Does anyone have an idea why Time of the Gypsies (1988) hasn't been released on DVD yet? It's become one of those cult-flicks (for those who enjoy European cinema) yet it's nowhere to be found. All I know is there's a Russian DVD, but what's with the rest of the world? I found a trailer on Youtube for the American distributor, but I'm not if it's for a future DVD release or if the source of origin is an old VHS edition:

Another crazy trailer I found online for Kusturica's Underground (1995)
