Okay I must admit I had a little higher expectations for this movie than maybe I should have. Considering that no one wanted another T3, but now the latest installment managed to be almost as bad. What a boring movie! Yes there was action, blood and women, but the essence of what made the terminator series great was lost again. It's like only James cameron knows how to tell a story.
The movie was about the war against the machines but clearly McG didn't want to actually show the war against the machines. Instead it focused on the mystery of Marcus Rite. Who really cares about Marcus Rite?
Another glaring glitch in this latest enstallment was the story of Kyle Reese.
In the original movies Kyle grew up on the run. Later on he was sent to the camps to work as a slave for a period of time. He was suppose to get a tattoo on his wrist.
In the movie Kyle was a resistant fighter whom was captured and sent to Sky Net (now located in San Fransisco)for one day and later rescued by John Connor himself.
To say the least I feel that the writers didn't quite know how to tell the story between the war of atrition and Sky Net. There was some faithfullness to the original movies that deserves to be mentioned. However they are few and far between.
