The Hitcher, 2007, Sean Bean vs. Rutger Hauer 1986 version

I first saw the 2007 version didn't know that it was a remake.

Both Sean Bean and Rutger Hauer are / make really great bad guys. they really scare you.

I watched the older version AFTER the first one.

there are different variations. I was curious how the original was, since the newer one deviated a bit.

in the older version, Jennifer Jason Leigh is the girl.

most people loved the original beter and noticed they called rutger bad ass. lol

my man thinks both are bad ass.

I think that was the generation of making films like that, car chases and psychological cruelty.

there was another film similar to that, we liked, "DUEL"

car chases and psychological thriller.

I was a BIG FAN of the Hitcher 86, l must have seen it around 90, when l was 13... Tried to watch the new one, couldnt get into it, l feel like it has no soul. Guess it's just not my generation.

I saw the 2nd one FIRST cause I never saw the 1st one.

my man told me about the 1st one during the time I was watching it. He was working while I was watching and he heard all the action and screaming and cars /violence. he looked over and said, hey this is a remake! lol Rutger Hauer did the first one.

I watched the 2nd one on Netflix and the 1st one, later, on Youtube, it's available full movie.

I don't know about having no soul with the 2nd one... it was weird. because, they CHANGED it, totally different.

and the newer generation one, is all about showing sexy bodies or something with the main character. While that is NOT the case in the first one. Their focus was NOT on that.

I guess the newer generations need sexy bodies all the time.

and if you notice the 2nd one, didn't want to make the girl be the one dying in that fashion.

so they made the man be the one who got killed, in that horrible fashion.

and they made the girl kick ASS ....at the end.

they changed so many things.
