Like the title suggests, this movie was FANTASTIC! I just went to see it with my boyfriend and it was GREAT! I plan to see it again with my siblings. 😄 As a Harry Potter fan, I was emotional to be back in the universe! :')

Great stuff from JK Rowling and Co. I cannot WAIT to see what more is in store for us! 😄 Anyone else see it yet or plan to see it?!

I thought it was fantastic beats and where to find them lol.

But I watched it. It was really good and I get sentimental being apart of the wizarding world again. Hopefully they make more little things like this.

Harry potter and the cursed child, maybe. But they'd have to do some improvements

YES! She didn't amazingly considering it was her first ever movie script! We have, I think, 5 more movies to look forward to! I cannot WAIT to see the battle between Dumbledor and Grindewald because you just know they will have it! *shrieks*

Is it just me or anyone else feels the same way? I always end up being disappointed by the movie? All fantasies and imaginations I have when reading the book is sooo much better than the ones depicted in the movie... And it doesnt help with the producer cutting of some small details that are actually my favorite! ?

I really hope they make a movie out of the Cursed Child.. Has anyone seen the play?

There technically isn't a Fantastic Beasts book where we meet Newt Scamander. We got a copy of Harry's Fantastic Beasts textbook with Harry's, Ron's, and Hermione's notes written on the pages. So, there isn't anything to compare it to because it's an original script just for the movie.

As for the rest of the Potter films, this has been my attitude: I have read the book, each one multiple times - I got the experience. So, what was there for me to complain about? The movies were merely a fun and fast way for me to get a Potter fix. I wasn't interested in comparing because comparing two drastic types of medium - a book and a movie - was nonsensical to me. I just enjoyed the movies for what they were because I already had the experience of the books and my imagination. 🙂

I disagree.

Movie could have been fantastic if they took it down a much darker path and concentrated more on the killings and investigation.

The Dr Doolittle elements and conscious decision to have this a kid friendly flick weren't to my liking. I felt they really gutted the potential of a film that lurked beneathe.

Probably better than 7 of the 8 Potter films. But that's not much of an achievement.

Well, we aren't going to agree, then, because there were plenty of dark bits and this movie served for a fantastic jump off for the future movies. The Obscurials were freaky, and child abuse is a dark enough topic for me. The concept that the magical folk have to hide themselves from the No Maj or risk starting a war was too close to home to our real muggle world. I love that Newt, at the heart of it all, is a conservationist - even amid the dark times, he took it upon himself to say that the creatures are worth protecting. Comparing it to Dr. Doolittle, in my opinion, sounds like something that someone who didn't sit through the movie would say.

I would like to see it, yes.

That and Ms Perrigrine.

🙂

I haven't seen Ms. Perrigrine! My sister has and said she enjoyed it! *^___^*

Dr. Strange and On the Edge of Seventeen are also on my list. 😄

Glad to hear it was good. 🙂

And I'm not familiar with those, but I'll check them out.

I recognize the lyric, though--

But the moment

That I first laid

Eyes on him

All alone on the edge of

seventeen

Stevie Nicks 😛
