I spent all of yesterday watching The Beatles Anthology on DVD. It is one of the most fascinating (actually THE most fascinating) things I have ever seen in my life. Anyone who is even slightly a Beatles fan would be amazed, beyond any description I could ever give in words. If I was a big Beatles fan before seeing this, I am a *huge* Beatles fan after seeing it. It's unbelievable....it will bring you to tears, laughter, and every emotion in between, and to top that off you get TONS of performances, live ones, taped ones, John Lennon - I can't even tell you how everything made me feel. I'm just so grateful that these people produced this while George was still alive. I remember seeing snippets of it on TV when it first came out a long time ago, but to be able to see it on DVD was a very different experience, you can re-watch things, etc. You know, I wasn't even alive when the Beatles were together or broke up, but I now feel like I got to experience the entire ride. There are a lot of sad moments, but it's not depressing, it's just real. There are a lot of happy moments too. After seeing this you will understand what a historic, beautiful, undeniable, monumental contribution to music the Beatles made, and you will wish they were still together. I would give this thing five stars but it deserves five thousand. I beg you all to watch this. 🙂

I just realized that "live ones, taped ones" is a stupid statement, because of course they're ALL taped (lol), but I meant that a lot of the taped performances you get to see were performed in front of a live audience, at the time. So it's "as if" you are also seeing it live.

Did I mention that the Anthology is a masterpiece never to be surpassed for the rest of time? *Amazing*.
Ok, what's your most favorite album of all time?

I'm so excited! It's September 2nd at the Britt Festival in Jacksonville, Oregon. I hope he sings some old stuff...like..."Octopus's Garden"...or just anything from the Beatles. He's such a cutie pie! I hope he drums.
