Hmm.. either a strip joint.. or an upscale "hide a way" for the older male set. (I bet James T. could explain.. they probably originated in England.) Like a country club, just for men. Back in day, (way back..) a place to escape the wife..etc.

Thank you, Espernaut. I always wondered. I'm pretty sure it's an upscale get away from the wife joint type of place, because the strip joint, I've seen (from the street. and not the corner, don't worry. lol)...

but, then, if that's all it is, why does nobody want to tell me what it is? lol

They're being silly, I imagine. There's this big thing about being a Mason, as well. (Not saying this club is that) but if one organization can be hush hush, I could see another acting the same way. "To Bug You".. I'd bet. Is all.
(Maybe they're afraid you'll want membership..) It's becoming discrimination to exclude based on gender,etc. Some of the older clubs (I've heard) have had to open their doors to everyone.. (Which kinda defeats the point, to me.)

I mean.. Guys don't crash gals tupperware parties, etc.
Or demand to be let in on those Lingerie Parties (that I hear) women throw. "Yes, I'd like the cassarole dish, and the blue Baby Doll ensemble, thankew".. ETc etc. 😉

I'm not sure how I feel about gender exclusion though. The itsy bitsy part of feminism in me want to balk at that, but then you make absolute perfect sense, with guys not crashing lingerie/tupperware parties. lol. Perfect sense. This is good, you're forcing me to think, without even trying.

In that case.. I think .. The world Does have .. enough Tupperware.

I think so too, and you will never see me at a tupperware party. lol.

Farce can also be considered as humor. As a negative, you're right, it would be indicating fake /put on / staged, etc.
