I mean those whose type has changed or borders on different types. For example, many times when I first took the test about 6 years ago my result was INTJ. I took it again today and ended up an INFP. Perhaps I know myself better than before, perhaps I've changed, or perhaps I was never distinctly an INTJ. My I/E is only 3% clearly I. My J/P is only 3% as well. The clearest change is my T/F distinction which used to be mildly T and is now mildly F (28% now). I am a quick thinker and my thinking is more clear to me on any given day than my feelings are. But I am very emotionally driven as I've come to realize through a long-term relationship. This relationship also pushed me to be more open about my feelings which revealed the truth about my understanding of things. I often talk one way and feel/act another, thus the confusion of my type.
My question for y'all borderline types is, how does this effect your understanding of your type and yourself? Do you end up looking to many different types' descriptions to get an accurate picture, etc.?
I have been more into astrology as of late because I am now under the impression that MBTI types can change, and an ideal type would be 0% down the middle in all four aspects. Also, the testing methods are imperfect in my opinion whereas astrology, even whilst changing charting systems, many elements are static and don't change. It's up to you on what you do with the knowledge. Just tells your nature and tendencies and struggles, whereas MBTI is more like "what you are now."
