The vanity of the candle.
Of youth and beauty,
Of love and friendships,
Of laughter, merriment and cheer.
Of power, wealth, prestige and fame.
Of poetry and motion, so charted in vain,
Of all things here, art cast into the flame,
As life and death so wax and wane.
