"she said that in England, people don't use the Euro for currency, that it's still Pounds. She said that the only countries that recognize Euro's are Germany and Italy. Is this true?"
That is partly correct. The British continue to use the pound, the Swiss continue to use the franc, and the Norwegians continue to use the kroner.
The Euro is the official currency for most of the Western European countries, extending far beyond Italy and Germany. Other countries come to mind like... Spain, France, Sweden, Ireland, Portugal, Greece, etc., etc.
It's widely used except for a few pockets.
I was wrong about Sweden apparently. Here's the complete list of the Euro-zone:
Austria
Belgium
Cyprus
Finland
France
Germany
Greece
Ireland
Italy
Luxembourg
Malta
Netherlands
Portugal
Slovenia
Spain
Wello Pisceans....(that's another way of saying well hello)
P-Angel that is so cute you didn't know that.Is this all cos of you taking a shine to Sean Bean? lol
I guess the British are unwilling to share the gold they stole.
We didn't steal anything...

"Bean's getting married anyday now for the FOURTH time"
You'd think the guy would get real after three failed marriages.
He must be a Pisces....
You gotta love Jezza Kyle, especially since that story of him asking that 16 year old girl to massage his balls. What a charmer!
And since I read it in the News of the World, it must be true!!
And Trisha. Didn't she take Ecstasy to combat her depression? Thank god here in England we have these two dishing out advice to the sub-human scum on their shows! Top class entertainment, best watched when you've rung in sick with a hangover!!
Anyone heard of the Jeremy Kyle drinking game? You can see it on Youtube. Take a sip everytime he uses one of his catchphrases. Sounds pretty difficult, he's always pouring those cliches out of his mouth, I'd be poisoned by the end.
Trisha is a legend "Normal is just a cycle on a washing machine" Class. I can imagine her at an all-night rave with a whistle!
"They could be 'Richard and Judy II - The Next Generation'."
I could just see Jezza doing an Ali G impression! And Trisha getting her tits out inadvertently!
LOL @ Spatchels explanation of mind the gap..hahhaha...now thats funny!..lol I'll laugh everytime she says it now...that woman got the sack apparantly for making loads of weird jokes on the underground and slating it basically..haha..good on her...i think its hillarious when train drivers start speaking to the commuters...
One said a few months back "if there isn't enough seating space, go sit on the lap of someone you fancy further down the carriage, at least you would've made a new friend..or not"
Hahha...
Brighton is shit....its a bit trendy..can't understand for the life of me why it would be...great beaches in Newquay...surfer paradise,...yummy!
lol @ trisha in an all night rave..hahhaah...she puts a straitjacket to shame...

In Dickens, "The Christmas Carol", the holiday meal is goose. Is it tradition for UK'ers to eat goose for Christmas dinner?
One of my relatives (by marriage) goes to several European countries every year with her work .. and she said that in England, people don't use the Euro for currency, that it's still Pounds. She said that the only countries that recognize Euro's are Germany and Italy. Is this true?
Do you have volcanoes in the UK, or earthquakes?
And finally, is it true that most people travel by train, instead of automobiles?
