mars and venus plays a role in that too,trigger lily,but i will tell you aries and scorpio aren't compatible but thats bs same planets and stuff.It's just the cardnial and fixed,elements of the two signs that differ.They do get along the aries is more talkitive and active while the scorpio is just there and blunt but for the most part kinda quiet and laid back.Both are rather direct and to the point just different ways of doing it.Cappie and pisces is supposed to be compatible.Cancerlady or Atlantic myst could help ya more but they will want to know the birthplace,time and dates to put the chart comparison up.
