How do you protect from an inevitable heartbreak?

OK. you know how we pisces are. When it comes to falling for someone we fall hard. What if you knew someone whom you know you can easily fall for, but due to circumstances you know you dont have a chance with. Is it possible to build a wall around your heart so you won't be hurt? Can you still remain friends with this person knowing that if your protective wall comes crumbling down, can you still go on with just being friends, or do you just walk away?

Purge. I had feelings for someone and I knew without a doubt that nothing would ever come of it. Not because he didnt feel the same way but because the situation was very taboo. But you know what, I didnt care. I said and did everything that I needed to emotionally and walked away without any remorse. Life is too short to not be true to yourself and there is no way I can live my life and not be honest about what I feel-good or bad. But thats just how I roll 🙂

I dunno, I love being in love, even if it means getting hurt. Prob no way to protect your heart, but if you let go of any possessiveness towards that person, it will save you from loads of heartache.
