I can understand and sympathize with why MMI put up this thread.

But in this case if you read the original post, you see that MMI and a third party were having an exchange on another thread.
Third party says (paraphrasing): I like you MMI, we are a lot alike.

Turns out P herself has/ possibly continues to engage in X, Y, and Z.
I think a lot of people would have the same reaction as MMI. Some people obviously don't and will never agree with this, but many others could understand, if not imagine they might do the same thing if they were in her situation.
