Hey P hows it going with the class?

Yesterday proved to me that this is going to be harder than I suspected, and it's just the beginning ... the elementary stuff.

One girl is struggling to determine filing status, while another person cannot understand the conditions that have to be met to determine a dependent. This isn't going to be easy, lol.

There's so many stipulations/regulations and I fear that if these people can't get the basics, then they'll never get the hard stuff.

What happens when we get to deferred income/annuities? Or companies with the accrual accounting methods?

Anyway, thanks for asking .. it's going fine, I'm just new to this scene and so I have to revamp my style , I guess .... it has to be more simplified, for I certainly don't want to lose anybody simply because I'm not clarifying enough. Come tax season, I'm going to be doing all the complex ones, I can see it now, lol

Speaking of class ... I should be getting my butt in gear .. night class today !!!!

lol well you're still fairly new to this P as you said you'll probably have to revamp more than once, at least until you get a feel for the learning abilities of your class. Everyone learns at a different pace I guess, and some will struggle more than others.

One thing I do know - you will relish the challenge. 😉

What I find the biggest problem with any of my professors has been, that simply because they know the material they teach it in a matter where they assume everyone else does too...
