That's right...it's my favorite week of the summer! Anyone else a fan of this on the Discovery Channel?

I'm off work today and watching some fool swimming with Great Whites in open water.

We were going to go into a shark cage on our honeymoon in Hawaii, but the seas were too high that day, so they weren't taking people out. I was disappointed. 😒

Oh well, next time! I find them so fascinating. πŸ™‚

I'm so totally intruiged or you might call it obsessed with great whites since i was little...dunno why, and they're not even close to where I live, but when my sis was whining for a puppy, I wanted a great white in the tub...never had one 😒

I like this guy who touches them on the snout, and then makes them turn upside down. They go all catatonic when they're on their backs. It's so wild!

Pisces22, I think that Great White would have outgrown your tub real fast. lol

I think "run" in fish-speak means swim really fast. And I'm an excellent swimmer. Days is doomed! πŸ˜›

Is that really the only reason you never got one, Pisces? lol I'm thinking I would have avoided the bathtub with the Great White and become quite smelly. You can't get as clean under the garden hose.

I can swim purrty good too πŸ™‚

Yeah I really think that's the reason, cause my mom had loads of spare toothbrushes, so his teeth would be clean every day. The water in the netherlands is clean, I had a tub, I'm good with animals, and I just wanted one 😒

eehm me!! I'm sensitive πŸ˜›

and the book is great, there's a sequel on it too, in dutch it's called bait...but I dunno if the title is the same there. It's my favorite book of all times

Days, you're such a puss...a fish who can't swim πŸ˜‰

Looks like there are four:

"Meg"
"The Trench"
"Primal Waters"
"Hell's Aquarium"

I think we should rename the Pisces board here after that last one. I dig it. πŸ™‚

LOL I thought it was cute.

Have you seen these guys on NatGeo? He's touching this male shark's junk and everything! I bet they go back in the water and tell the other sharks they were abducted and probed.

sea I love sharks & shark week! I miss when they would loop it all day 😒

as a surfer I'd regularly swim with sharks, at point dume (Malibu) on a clear day u can sit on ur board & look down & c the silhouettes... usually baby whites (it's a great white breeding & birthing ground) they then head up north to the cooler waters. I also want to go down in a cage but in south africa. a friends bro shoots the air jaws stuff there. I've always wanted to pet a white.

on the cape growing up vix I would c makos & blues usually but did c a large white cutting the water b4 (from boat) judging from fin spacing I'd say close to 18 feet

in key west I saw a 20 foot hammer head off our boat & it was beautiful! saw lots of reef tip feeding frenzies at night in the shallows there, it was crazy

my dad was chased onto the sand in Hawaii by a sand tiger

a friend had a tank of sharks about 4 feet & they kept trying to flip themselves out one died & the others were hurt so I would neva own them 😒

I watch two of the 4 episodes of cash cab and of course the second one I watch has tpo be shark week oriented. Lame.

Sea food is tasty.

I called up the Director of Programming and told him that was your favorite episode, sweet pea. You're welcome! πŸ™‚

YICK! I hate seafood. It all tastes the same to me - disgusting! πŸ˜›

We have Shark month on Animal Planet πŸ˜„

A WHOLE MONTH! Where do you live? I'm moving there!

How fun πŸ˜„ The submarine would be really cool but I've always been afraid I'd feel claustrophobic in there! :/

I was a bit worried about that, too, Fiesty, but it turned out to be VERY large! I was quite relieved. Didn't feel nervous at all going under.

Of course, I had just had three of the STRONGEST rum and cokes I've ever had in my life, though. Maybe that had something to do with it. lol
