Well just for the heck of it, since im in a charitable mood.
A Tribute to Steve Moss
The publisher and co-founder of San Luis Obispo New Times was found dead at his home on Sunday morning, perhaps a victim of his ongoing battle with epilepsy. This week's issue features remembrances from colleagues and friends. Former managing editor Marla J. Pugh says, "The essence of New Times was -- and I hope always will be -- Steve Moss. His extreme personality lives on in the paper he created." Glen Starkey, a New Times writer, offers: "Steve was a maverick. He was a leader. He was a friend. He was the best of us, and we'll miss him."

My mom was the one who found him,
She said im going to walk there for excersize and give him a haircut...
And she found him by the back door in this little garden with bricks around it,
I feel so wierd when i think about it, i used to steal his pink floyd-paul mcartney cd's and some of his alcohal and get drunk and just lose myself in the moonlight in pure excess.......
Talking to myself, making jokes to myself,
"So how is it to be a muti platinum selling band"?
Me: "Well you see i dont see it that way i see myself as the fan and composer of the people,
blah blah,
I can make fun of it know but it was dead serious when i was saying it lol.
when i was around 16 to even recently i would do that....
So seeing a crime scene and cops and a phantom image of me sitting there almost a an apparician above him with headphones on talking to itself......is creepy....it kinda haunts me.
He was a true genius.
nice guy.
He never did pay me when i would mow his lawn though....
lol
Another thing:
when we went to his wake....
it was at this huge vintage inn here in town
with a live jazz band and alcohal.....
and everyone was urged to wear sneakers jeans and a hawwian shirt....
i wore one i still have that is identical to the on in that picture.
when people were going up to the podium before reading there sob stories,
everone had shapagne glasses including me.....
i was 16.......i was scared but everyone was crying and steve would have wanted me to get drunk,
because he was cool like that......so i had a glass and i moved my foot and it broke during dead silence,
and i froze and everyone turned towards me.....and the guy up at the mic who was steves freind said,
Yea that alright steve would have thought that was funny and broke his too.
hehe,
during the end of the ceramony during equally queit moments 11 other people accidentally kicked and broke thier champagne glasses,
all at differnt times.
because there was just rows and rows of chairs and everyone just put there glasses at there feet.
haha that always makes me smile.
like it was devine intervention.....
lol
