Why can't love and jealousity go together?

On another board, someone has asked why jealousity and love cannot live together. I thought respecting the partner and accepting her as a person is the only fair treatment and try to control her body and soul is not.

However, I wonder you people think.

I love jealousy in a partner as long as it doesnt get physical/violent.

I think jealousy and love go well together. If someone prohibits their partner from going out or talking and looking at other chics that has just translated into possessiveness, control, obsession... (could be extreme) in my opinion jelousy is just a feeling, it's what you feel when you detect interest from someone else for your partner for example. And it can make you angry for the moment.
