I am so glad somebody has raised this issue. I don't think resistance will stop either. I have a few quibs about this issue in general.

Firstly, why did the US wait so long to 'nab' him? Why didn't they act 10-15 years ago, when he was doing REAL harm to his people?

Secondly, he is 66 years old. Hasn't the damage been done? Was he still commiting atrocities recently? Would he have had the energy to 'go on' and continue his atrocities?

Thirdly, are the Americans going to offer the Iraqi people any better than they have already have? It seems like another dictatorship to me. I fear this.

Fourthly, i am glad he has been caught, even though i feel it is for the wrong reasons (US wanted him for oil and falied to act in the past when there were other murders. I am also glad he is going to stand trial, and it would help if it was in his own country. I believe that people should 'pay' when they've done things like that.

I must admit i am shocked though.

I am so over debating this issue 😢 Tired, tired, tired, but i will thank you Parallax for going to the effort of responding to my post. You have pointed out some issues i will consider next time i feel like running the US, or their govenment, down for making the wrong decision. Who knows, this may all turn out for the best, only time will tell as you so wisely pointed out. We will soon see it all unfold no doubt.
