After sex comments question

Why do people ask, "Wanna make a sandwich," after they finish having sex?

I don't ask that. I usually just roll over and go to sleep.

Exmaples:

Peter Griffin from Family Guy tells his wife Louis to make him a sandwich after they had sex.

Dave Chappelle also asks his wife if she's gonna his sandwich after they finished "knocking boots".

I can see why, but why does everyone use the 'sandwich' ?
I'll try "Hey, why don't you go make me some mashed potatoes?" Hmmmmm, I wonder about the response...

"Wanna make a sandwich,"

No, maybe there's something I don't know yet... ? Wanna make a sandwich? As in both? Weird.

I'd sooner ask for something to drink.

Usually we go for the classic move of pulling out a cigarette. (except I smoke it 2nd hand)
but, the "wanna make a sandwich?", I've never heard of that before, ahha, that's great~

I guess a sandwich fulfills your needs where the sex didn't, if it sucked

My ex used to actually pass me over a cigarette..get out of bed and make me some juice..of the drinking variety..not his own!..LOL

It's a pop culture thing that became a cliche after sex comment.

I like a cigarette myself, this is a whole lot easier if you both smoke.

To get rid of the taste out of their mouths of course!
