In love with Capricorn Ex boyfriend..what to do?

Your ex is obsessive ! Obviously , he's quite low self esteem and big ego image ! Telling you to date others so you know how good he is and he may desire you more!? This is just very immature thing to say for a guy who is 36 ! With all that glamorous life he's having now , I don't think he 'll consider family "soon" unless a "siren" bewitches him and makes him "lose his senses"!
Cap likes the thrill of the chase I can tell you . They the good old fasioned romance . A man does the work and the woman takes care of their every whims ( when you're their wives !) . They also don't take no for answer and damn persistent! You ignore them , tell them to go away , they come back more and more , give you everything - it's often seems like a conquer to me ! That's why I can only love Cap as a friend !
Move away from this man . You're young and you've a future ahead . Don't contact him ever. It's hard but if you keep hanging onto him , he'll just see you as needy.
