Leo guy and Scorpio girl??

I've recently started dating exclusively with this Leo guy. I'm quite unfamiliar with Leos in general as I've never dated one before and I don't have any Leo male/female friends around me. Things are going quite well with him so far, but I saw in several astrology websites that Leo and Scorpio are not supposed to be compatible. The thing is I don't feel he is Leo at all - except he admited himself that he gets jealous easily and is possesive - He is very quite and shy.
