I am reading about nodes currently.
But i haven't read about the complatibility part yet.
Do you mean that if your north node is in aires, your karmic partenr is aires?
From what I've read the North node is your potential of what you should become at your best whereas your south node is your safety zone, what you want to fall back on. To be fully formed you should ideally work towards the Norht node (no matter how scary) and you'll gain the rewards of the south node and you can combine the positives of both.
So my Aries node pushes me towards wanting to be an independent individual, a pioneer a warrior - the Aries stuff which I am attracted to but I admit I do also feel a strong pull towards the simple life of being a peaceful Libra, not arguing with people, being more co-dependent, not having to do things alone. But I know focussing only on the Libra won't help me be fully happy.
So, realtionship wise, anyone with a lot of Libra or planets/aspects that will encourage my south node libran tendencies may not be beneficial to helping me grow and reahc my potential. However, someone with a strong Aries placement (not necessarily sun) or other signs complemenary to Aries should help encourage me to see the Arian side of my personality.

Well, I've been reading about Nodes.
North node - In synastry helps the person develop and grow. Strong karmic links to the partner's N.node gives a strong sense of karmic destiny. this can be too much for each partner to face however.
South node - In synastry offers a strong sense of familiarity and safety, the feeling of having known each other before. This can lead to partners living in the past, in safety and familiarity too long they may stop themselves from being able to fully develop and may feel restricted.
So, my thinking is that surely the best mix would be some north node conjunctions so you can help each other develop and become their future selves but some S.node too so it doesn't seem so scary.
My North node is Aries and my South is in Libra.
personally I am rarely if ever attracted to someone with any prominant planet in Libra.
I like the idea of the Arian challenge and developing and all that stuff even if Aries are sometimes a little mcuh for me. But them having an Aries planet isn't a problem.
