serious question

When dating why does having an ex of a friend bother you kr sont bother you? Lets day if ur car broke down and the person ur dating couldn't help out because ur in a diff state so the ex will help. Why is this an issue long as u get a ride to feom work etc would this bother u?

Even if it's innocent on your part, it looks bad because your ex is someone that you used to (or possibly still do) have feelings for. Not to mention you guys are obviously attracted to each other, I mean you did date. Then you gotta factor in the fact that you're making your ex appear like they're still needed in your life. There are a lot of reasons from a psychological standpoint that reflect why this is disrespectful. You don't have any friends? Any family? Why your ex of all people?


I find that disrespectful and I wouldnt blame a guy for feeling the same way if his girl called her ex to come save the day while he was away against his will. Thats kind of fucked up.

Yeah if you're calling your ex its because you still want them in some capacity and on some level whether the person realizes that or not. Which is why it's bs when you tell the current person it's nothing because if it was really nothing, then your ex would be the last person you would want to call and ask to do anything for you. You call the ex because it's an excuse to stay connected in some way which means you haven't moved on and if I was the current person I would drop them.

Don't have time for the games and a person who's going back and forth with their ex because they're really not over them and using me as a pawn to front like they've moved on.

I totally agree on this. Priorities would either call uber rent car take bus etc friend family etc

It kinda depends.

If my car breaks down in the middle of no where, or it's an emergency, I really don't care who is at the wheel. My safety, the shit that has to get done, is a priority, and if my current BF can't grasp that concept, well...there's the door.

However, if your car breaks down, and it's NOT an emergency, and you are getting rides here and there from the ex, well thats a problem and you are being a thirsty bitch.

Someone else said the same thing likw rent car, uber, bus, family friends etc if u dont have that shows ur priorities arent in line no savings to take care basic needs when stuff like this happens u run to the ex
