Why is this Aquarius man acting this way?

I have a crush with an Aquarius man I have just met in school a few months ago. The trouble is, he doesn't speak to me that much and he doesn't even look at me when we're talking to each other. He also responds little to me whenever I ask questions. We have the same circle of friends and sometimes, we eat together alone so it never crossed my mind that he didn't like me as a person. Also, I have observed that whenever we walk together, we're quite distant from one another. Sometimes, he would even walk behind me. Why does he act this way? Can someone please tell me why? And also, he is very sociable and he laughs around with others but me. I just feel sad sometimes because he treats me differently yet we're friends (or I think we are).

I don't understand. Most of the time, I feel like he is treating me with apathy. I feel like he is avoiding me sometimes. Like whenever we are asked for a group work, he would never get into the group I am with. Or sometimes, when we take pictures, he would position himself far away from me. I don't really feel awkward around him.. His actions made us awkward if you know what I mean. I would like us to have conversations, you know, like whatever comes to mind but I am always the one trying to save the conversation because he responds so little. So, we would end up being quiet when we're together... But again, it's only to me. He's very talkative when it comes to other people and he seems to be having fun with them but me. I sometimes feel sad thinking that maybe he dislikes me but is just ashamed to tell me to bug off... So, I was thinking maybe I should distance myself to him starting now.
