How many times (if ever) have we met somebody to whom we weren't really attracted to them ... yet, once we became aware that this other person had the hotts for us, we were suddenly all into them, and responding to the advances?
Wouldn't it seem logical that if an attraction wasn't present in the very beginning, and we succombed to believing it was because our ego recieved stroking by superficial attention .. that this coupling was doomed to fail in terms of the heart?
Isn't it true that when we love somebody .. really love them .. that this is supposed to come from the heart?
Yet, do we follow not what our heart said, when it told us .. "No attraction, no attraction" ... and embrace offerings from this other person, just so we can feel attractive and loved on the outside .. eventhough in the end, since it wasn't REAL to the heart, we were really made to feel ugly, violated, used?
So, would it be safe to assume that the ego directs the head .. while the soul directs the heart?
Yet, to follow the instructions of the theory behind the addage .. it is suggesting that the right course is to follow the head.
How can this be right? It seems in contridiction to true love.
