False Advertising !!

Wasnt sure where to put this, so anyway:

Have you ever met someone from a dating site, based on the pictures they have posted on their profile and somehow theyre, just "Different" ?
I cant understand people who put 20yr old pics on their profiles, then wonder why you look surprised when you meet them !!!
I know a couple of people who are on a dating site and the pics they have "Arent Even Them"
I mean, if theyre gonna meet someone in the flesh, obviously that person is gonna see that it isnt them!!!!
Why cant people just be Honest and put a pic that is current and most importantly "OF THEMSELVES"

they want to be part of the game...get attention...maybe a chance...killing the time.

why are married people there who give them as singles?
why are males behind some female profiles?
why are pedophiles in the game?
why are some fiction cause they write a research? a book?
because it is internet!!!!!!

Oooooooh the whole thing is Scary

Many people work unsociable hours and those "Dating Sites" are the only way they get to meet people!!!
Ive been there myself, ive worked the graveyard shift and spent most of the day sleeping after work. It completely stuffs up your social life.
I have met some terrific people thru them
But there will always be the one's who abuse the system.
What i was saying is i cant understand why someone would put up a Pic of themselves thats 20ys old if youve arranged to meet them!! Why not be honest
Internet Dating (and i dont mean endless chatting) i mean when you chat for a while,then arrange to meet, is a wonderful thing.

and there isnt anything unrealistic about the internet dating, for the most part, people on there are still people. Many of whom only have the internet as a tool to meet people.

Yeah I dabbled in a dating site when I first became single and I only met one person who came out to meet me when i was out partying with my friends. What I noticed straight away was that he was shorter than myself even without the heels! LOL! In his profile he was definetly suppose to be taller than me! And he's an air stewart for QANTA. We became good friends and still are, actually I should have sent him a text for Valentines, oh well can send him a belated ine as he's probably flying high!!! lol!
