Has anyone ever stayed friends with you fwb?

I didn't. I wanted to end it(the benefits) because I wasn't really getting anything out of it.The fwb was basically only benefiting him. He wanted to keep trying, but I was all set. So he texted me that he hopes I have a good life blah blah blah and I haven't heard from him since. It's hard to swallow still. Was gonna text him if we were ever friends, but I didn't. Anyone have a better outcome?

His main focus was getting what he wanted from you. That's not how friendships work. In situations like this, guys only want something to do with you if it means that they can get their dick wet. If not, then they have no use for you. That is not a friend. That is a user.

I know it's difficult to wrap your head around because while things were going fine, you were having fun and the added perks of getting laid. But once you can fully step away and see what's happening, it'll be easier to deal with.

I had similar struggles with a fwb because it's just so wtf. You'd like to think you can stay friends since you were doing so many "friend" things together (sex aside), but some dudes just don't function like that, ESPECIALLY users. If you pay attention, you'll see them not only do it with you, but others in various aspects of life. You cannot befriend users and expect it to last. Either you end it because you can't stand them treating you as such, or they end it because they're done using you for whatever purpose and have found their next victim to move on to. These type of people are not worth fretting over or trying to keep around. I finally dropped the dude, and the only thing I really miss is the sex. As an individual, he's not worth keeping around and it's no loss to my quality of life.

Another fwb I had, we were still friends after the fwb aspect ended, but he was fucking crazy and I dropped him. He's one of those dudes that thinks he owns a woman after he's fucked her or has some sort of emotional attachment and can control her and tell her what to do. It was insane. Another individual who's also not friend material.

Generally, you can't always expect fwb to remain friends after the fact. It really depends on the individual, but chances are, guys who are targeting a fwb situation don't see you as relationship material, just fuckable material. If you can cope with that, gold star, but most can't. It's a lot to ask of these individuals to treat you with a basic level of respect when they see you as something to use in between relationships.

That was the biggest issue I had with the last one I had. Everything gradually shifted into his lack of respect for me, when it didn't start out that way.

As George Carlin said, "Respect the provider of thy nookie." Doesn't matter if it's casual or not. There has to be some sort of basic level of respect for someone as a person, period. Unfortunately, our society encourages these double standards that benefit guys more than girls, and many guys don't even realize (or care) how fucked they're behaving because of this.

But then again, our society has turned into a mob of self absorbed, self centered, reality evading asshats, so...

yes... i mean so far i have been friends with this guy... still talk and text but it has been a while since we hooked up bc he has a gf. But we still talk like were good friends. He is Aquarius and i'm a Libra. good match so we get along so well lol but he has a gf which is too bad.
