How do you get someone out of your system quickly when you don’t engage in casual sex

I think you have to reconcile with it
The thing is, you can't "get her out of your system". That's like saying you won't learn, change or adapt from your experiences. That's impossible.
So, instead of fighting it like trying to delete her from your psyche, you need to integrate your experience with her into a new way forward. You can't just go back to the you that was pre-her

I have done that and you are right in that I believe it has helped me to move on for the most part.
I guess I’m just frustrated that even though I think about her and what happened a lot less she still occupies real estate in my brain as evident by the occasional nightmare and sex dream.

Because she traumatized the hell out of me ..sometimes I have nightmares involving her ( which is largely based on events from the past).
And then about once every few months the sex dreams will start up ( which are largely based on events from the past).
I am over her in the romantic sense (all of the trauma helped with this process) but not sexually.

More of an erotic nightmare to accompany the non erotic nightmares that I also have about her.
We didn’t even do much because I didn’t want to lower my standards and I knew she really didn’t care about me but she was the best I’ve had thus far based on the bare minimum of what did transpire between us.
I think that’s the main thing that’s haunting me and ultimately the reason why I have the erotic dreams about her sometimes which again are not so much fantasies but are as memories of encounters I had with this person .

So both a nightmare and a sex dream? How does that play out at all? Have you tried talking about it to someone? Maybe your experience is too heavy burden on your mind and you need to relieve it by talking to someone about it. Or writing your feelings on a piece of paper. When something bothers you it will keep hunting you until you're finally over it or it starts fading away. So the sooner you resolve the part that bothers you, the sooner you can expect to start recovering from it. As for sex dreams, I wouldn't worry too much, that will go away on it's own and you can always start thinking about someone else before sleep
No sometimes I have nightmares which involve her and that involve scenarios that never happened. Sometimes the nightmares are really just flashbacks of things that did actually happen involving her.
But yeah my body tenses up at the sight of her face. Had to block her and mute others that might post content with her in it.
The sex dreams are not really new scenarios but just memories and sometimes continuation of some memories ( like if I hadn’t stopped the progression ) of things.
I know I made the right decision by cutting things off during the event in question but my body betrays my mind sometimes..you know?

I’ve been processing for months and have been making changes in my life so I can move on including cutting off some former mutual friends who weren’t good to have in my life either.

I think I need the love a good woman who loves and cares about herself enough to be introspective and try to grow and be better for herself and others.
One of the take homes is the more a woman hates themself the more likely they are to to treat you poorly….this of course if true for all genders but women especially.
