IN LAWS (Page 2)
You are on page out of 2 | Reverse Order

*isn't
The owner of this home is allowed to be disrespected by fucking his son in his home when he is at work .... yet, you are to be held to a different standard, in where he isn't allowed to disrespect you .... in HIS home, of course.

... he told him i am his gf, and not just some random.
Imagine it !!!
You're meeting your boyfriend's father, and your boyfriend HAS to make a distinction for your fathers' understanding ... that you aren't some random shit he picked up.

I actually don't believe this story.
Something doesn't add up in my mind.
I scanned this thread early am and my thoughts exactly.
Scanned and didn't bother...

Came back to see how many observed same... 🙂

There's nothing uncommon or unbelievable about this scenario
People deal with annoying in laws all the time. People spread untrue rumors about people all the time. People attempt to have others turn on you all the time. Guys lie on their peens all the time. Nothing uncommon about that.
Should you kiss your in law's azz? Of course not. And they shouldn't use their power as in flaws to expect you to. However, when you agree to marry someone or commit to them, you're also marrying their family. When you commit, you oughta go into it wanting to gain the respect & admiration of the people that mean the world to your partner. Again, doesn't mean that you have to kiss their ass. Just that it's not gonna kill you to try getting the respect of others that you're most likely gonna have to put up with for the rest of your life/relationship.
Besides, like it or not, a lot of people are still old skool. They value their friend's and family's opinions. That's a good thing. I'm skeptical of the person who walks around expecting admiration even though they never do anything to warrant that.
Just like there's nothing wrong with hoping/wanting a man's children to like you...or just like there's nothing wrong with wanting your own kids to value your opinion when they bring others in your presence, there's also nothing unusual, uncommon or irrational about hoping to gain the respect of a man's parents, the 2 most important people in his life. The 2 people who birthed him, raised him & share a big part in who he is & how he turned out.
If they're treating you like crap after you've shown them how good of a person you were, then it's more understandable to say F it. And even then, it's understandable that some people may feel differently about a relationship if everyone they love just as much clashes with their partner. Family is there to stay. Relationships come & go. Sucks but sadly this is the truth
