Lady friend and girlfriend

When you seriously dating somebody what do you like to be called when he is talking to others about you? Lady friend? Girlfriend? Is there a difference?

I used to hate grown up men to be called boyfriend...I am passed that.

Though I can’t find acceptable word.

Are there any?

I always preferred to be referred to by my name, first name

talking about me as Pandora, no other references needed (for me)

I actually hate when someone would not shot down questions about the "who is she"? 🙂

just smile and let them think anything

lady friend = female friend, not in love with yet, sex may be or may not be involved, maybe acceptable at the beginning (like they are gentlemen)

girlfriend = sex involved, romantics involved on some level, long term involvement (or planning to be long-term)

my woman (my girl) = now, thats the one I like 🙂

I agree but when people din know who you are if he said Gem is here there WILL be a question WHO? And then he will have to say lady friend or whatever...

I think I am crazy because lady friend irritates me, girlfriend sound stupid at my age, my woman...he says that to me in person...it would be strange telling his cousin ‘my woman is here’...

So I am undesided...🤦‍♀️

Oh, I love this question - hahahahha! Such a funny story when I was with my Cancer guy, let's see we had been together for just under 2 months and we took a trip to Canada (a short drive just north of where we live in NY) and crossing the border for home, we get questioned by the agent.

Agent: (to him) Where do you live?

Cancer: (answers with name of town)

Agent: (to me) Where do you live?

Me: (answers with name of town - different from his)

Agent: So, what's the nature of your relationship?

Me to Cancer looking at him with a mixture of amusement and expectation: Yes, what IS the nature of our relationship?

Cancer: Friend

Me: Silent but laughing my ass off inside

So a couple of months later, I forget how it all came about but I asked him, what would you tell that customs agent now? He said, "Girlfriend but I really don't like labels." And I said well if I am giving you the benefits of being your girlfriend I want the respect of being called your girlfriend. But, think of this - you'll have the COOL girlfriend. Him: "I already do."

I would ask who is she? Lmao

Same!!! He said my lady friend and it irked me.

Then we were at the presentation and I called him by full name at introduction. He had noticed...and asked me why?

So I think I would want him to call me his girlfriend after all?🤔why? Idk...

Lol yeah girlfriend and boyfriend works or if you’re more serious I guess partner.

Doesn’t really matter age.. I think maybe lady friend happens cuz of age but really it sounds more casual.

If all else fails, use names!! Lol
