Thats some scary shit WTF!
I think the quote describes intimacy more than romance. Kind of. I feel like romance is something you do, whereas intimacy is something that you share spiritually, mentally & obviously sometimes physically.
When my man stares into my eyes, holds my hand & says sweet nothings to me, I think more of intimacy b/c that represents more of a bond.
Now if he buys me flowers, stares into my eyes, holds my hand & says sweet nothings to me, then I'd be ready to grab his cheeks & call him romantic =)
I understand & agree with the concept though. Romance & intimacy are very similar. I think 1 of the main differences is that every kind of person can be romantic with you b/c it's easier to acheive. But everybody can't have that deeper connection (intimacy) with you.
Less romance, more walk to talk.

I found this on Facebook and thought it speaks truth. I agree with it.So, what are YOUR thoughts on romance.
Meh. Reads as a bunch of copy and pasted quotes put together to create one big rant.
It's the little things that matter. The thoughtfulness, the sharing, the caring, the actions. Subtle romance rather than big gestures. Big gestures are so cliche'.

Totally agree. Before acquaintance with my husband, I also imagined romance differently, with flowers and candy. But when you really have feelings, it becomes another romance. At the same time I want to note that we met on a dating site http://kovla.com/datings/us/new-york-city/. But many people think that there is no normal guys ...
I love intimacy (all the things mentioned on that FB cut) but am a bit suspicious about "romance". My exes were giving me roses or sunflowers, when I like spring and wild flowers. Chocolates, when I was trying to lose weight. Love declarations, when I wanted to talk about the shit that happened at work. Surprise dates, when I was looking forward to an evening at home with my fav serial.
Intimacy is doing/saying the right thing when you are in tune with your lover. Romance could be a hit or miss...or maybe I'm just not romantic enough.
