SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND HIM

So I started talking to this guy two weeks ago and intially i was unsure if i was interested. He kept wanting to hang out but I declined over and over because I work and am usually tired im not. At first he was way too into me and then he kinda backed off I assume because he sensed my indecision towards him. This, unknowingly triggered me to become more interested. I feel like I've gotten the cold shoulder so I obliged to hanging out with him which was cut short because he "had an emergency" and go home. The circumstances made that seem sketchy so I'm going to go with 87% bullshit. Yet he still continues to initiate conversation but still manages to be half-assed in his effort. I understand why he would be aloof after I basically stringed him along but I've expressed my interest and made it clear. I don't know why he still tries to talk to me if he is acting indifferent.

He has a Pisces rising, sun and moon. A Mercury in Aquarius, Mars in Leo and Venus in Capricorn.

Was this the first time to actually meet up? Sounds like he made an excuse to get out of your date?

This was the third time I saw him. I know it was an excuse but I'm just unsure what prompted to do so. I'm not sure if it was because he's introverted and we were about to hang out with some people by the pool.

Just weird or fishy you know lady.

He didn't go in much detail but I know he was bullshitting me. This is like the weirdest person I've ever had to deal with. I wonder if I should quit acting interested to see if he "chases" me or if this fizzles out.

Fucking chasing is over rated.

It should be mutually beneficial to both parties.

Just mirror his actions. Since he's being distant, do the same thing. If he really likes you, he'll chase.
