Alone gets boring after a while, a nice companionship is worth it's weight in gold imo. Plus physical needs, which some defy better than others. lol 😆

Mostly because women can't either.
No need to change if you have plenty of people willing to jump into the boat just to escape the feeling of lonliness etc. .

It's sad for sure

A big part of growing up is being able to spend time alone

Neurosis causes the constant need for others and more of everything....

..and women do seem to be better at it if needed

I remember my mother saying she prayed dad would pass first ... he didn't and was totally lost and suicidal whereas mum didn't mind long periods of time alone

I see lots of single happy women but not so happy single men

Good post. You can come up with contrary anecdotals of course. For example, I worked with one dude who was married about 5 times and had 8 kids. I have however known multiple guys who are long term single and don’t express much negativity about it.
