A message to tate from durrie.
Tate...maybe you'd like to share your thoughts and intellect which is rather sharp in my opinion. Instead of always hiding behind this mindless and totally uninspiring achilles heal of yours called sarcasm. Some times I wonder why you even post. Maybe you just like the sound of your own voice.

First let me say I do sarchasm: as in this case it is the gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person who doesn't get it.
Second Intellection ( exercise of the intellect, reasoning, an act of thought) I hope Im not leaving you behind here. I would never, in my wildest thoughts, think of jumping into a intellectual discourse between you and 13, you are so evenly matched. To make myself clear I DO NOT DO INTELLECTUAL BATTLE WITH THE UNARMED. As for being mindless and uninspiring, Why would you bother to respond to the mindless. Last but not least I do not speak words outloud when I write unlike some who post on the boards.
You must remember there are many Gods in this world I call mine SHABOOM.

Now now...put your complex away James...maybe that's your problem...this is not a battle...I am not here to be #1 or the class clown...I am here to share my thoughts with others and grow through our collective welth of knowledge we may share...

Yes, life is a joke to me, as a lot of people are ( I feel that way about very few people on these boards). unlike most people,I take very little serious. I never sweat the petty things and I never pet the sweaty things. We all end up six feet under in the end. To grow through shared knowledge I am all for it, but alas you seem to see my wit as a complex, as a disease of british culture. I in turn see your thoughts of others as put downs, if you do not agree with them. So here we sit, lets here from outhers and get there thoughts. I awate the collective wealth of knowledge. Not to be confused with a welth of knowledge.

I just wish you would get more involved, share ideas and challenge others according to what YOU believe to be correct in the persuit of truth instead of just haveing a laugh all the time because what is that indicative of...?

There's nothing wrong with laughing Tate...it feels good, we all like laughing...I laugh plenty, every day infact...it just surprises me that you seem to think life has to be a joke before you can laugh in it...?

Why would you want anyone else in charge of your life but yourself Tate...?

Surely the role of a person in charge is to keep control and accept responsibility for what ever they are in charge of...not so. So how easy and pointless would life be then if you were not in charge of your own life...surely that way you would not have to accept responsibility for your actions or sins Tate...

Let me share with you what I believe...I am in charge of my own life...as I believe you are of yours and I'll tell you what did make me laugh is the fact that you would have it any other way...

I think you should get a life. I do not care what you believe, Nor will I ever care what you believe, You are what we call a tumper . they get out there holy books and point them at the non believers and thump there thumbs on the holy book telling everyone what they should believe, But us the non believers do not give a big rats ass.

I have a life...and I share that life in a world with you Tate...I am just like you in every single way except in our belief and concept of life...

As Luz suggests this board is free and we can do as we wish but thus far all you have shared with me on this thread is that you see life as a joke...intellect as a tool for battle...the fact that you may want others in control of your life and that you will never care for what I believe...

i think durrie is being silly and it makes me laugh, calm down durrie, not everyone can live a life the same persective as you, not saying your living style is wrong because it probably helped you through your struggles but theres different connotations to how you should live your life. Everyone lives their life in their own way and i dont see anything wrong with that. WEe!! lets party now shall we?

ahh yes. this is intersting. u all maybe polar opp. as u can find. but there are always common therseads that unite u all. u see that's what's great about life. is that. common. the middle ground the chaos of such is a fun place. i'll admit.

MAN, sakes alive, I really missed out on this argument. All it takes is a weekend of college and the old life's already slipped away. One minute James ranting about the sound his jokes made when they landed from their launch atop the Canterbury cathedral and the next James (the other) is having an attack of Monty Python. Now, time for my own opinion:

This board, like every significant group of people in the world, needs different kinds of people. The world needs Durries or else we'd still be banging on rocks trying to figure out how that one crazy ape 3.5 million years ago got a "tool" out of it. The world needs Tates or else we'd never get past our preoccupation with rocks long enough to loosen up, ferment some of those weird round green and purple things and propagate the species. (In other words, get out of those mammoth skins and go ape with the Horizontal Mambo baby~!~) I am also here taking the opportunity to advocate huge egos and bad (or just weird!) jokes of all varieties- sarcastic or ones that land with a SHABOOM upon being thrown. It is really dumb. I don't mind being called "dear", or "young lady", or things like that (and I don't mind it when British people call me "luv"--I had a step-uncle who was English who did that...and it never phased me, in fact I thought it was sweet. Of course he turned out to be a wacko and my aunt divorced him, thank God...but anyway...lol)--I don't think I'd like a strange man that I didn't know calling me "sweetie" or "honey" or "baby". That's a little too chummy for me, thank you very much. I wouldn't sue the guy, but I certainly would regard him as a pig.

Oh and by the way, in response to this:
