There's something world weary but optimistic in the eyes of a Saggie...

We all have that look as we get older. It comes from seeing the world as it could be...beautiful, and what it is. We spend our entire lives trying to make it that way but it always resists. The weariness comes from years of wandering because we can't figure why it keeps happening to us.

The look you describe hides the fact that we are always on the brink of defeat while teetering and seeing that victory is within reach...thus we keep moving....weary from travel.
