"Let us, on both sides, lay aside all arrogance. Let us not, on either side, claim that we have already discovered the truth. Let us seek it together as something which is known to neither of us. For then only may we seek it, lovingly and tranquilly, if there be no bold presumption that it is already discovered and possessed." - St. Augustine

Humble personal quote:

"The human race is an unfinished organic portrait that is in first person view. We see what it is and what it can be. In order to make it more perfect, we must take our spirit and fabricate our lives into it. Accepting what you see is the beginning of peace. In order to change things, you have to have perfect vision. Then you take action."

Hahaha! I'm not sure about that debate, for I've tossed him on the barking moonbat pile once too often 🙂

I mostly disagree with his views, but I do think they are interesting ones.

I've never been a fan of his perspective as well for various reasons, but I agree with the second part of your comment. You can always find a treasure somewhere in the trash pile of junk information.

Thanks for the links. Here, catch this:

Having a philosophy means to restrict yourself to a border of thinking which compromises a higher thought process then some nutter who thinks he knows how to go about life correctly.
Philosophy is a false sense of security.

My favorites are Anaximander, Pythagoras, and Socrates. I like Socrates because he's a true Cynic and a raw philosopher.
