anyone work in the postal office or mail delivery service?

i notice that sometimes, our packages get stolen, or they never arrive,

even sometimes mail.

and the person who sent them said they sent them.

what happens to mail /and or packages that never get to their destination?

wouldnt the postal service send the mail/packages back to sender?

but the sender doesn't receive it back?

where does it go?

into the wormhole black hole of nothingness?

like for example christmas packages, or birthday packages or even just any package.

sometimes christmas or birthday cards.

what would i assume? the worst?

It can be literally anything.

Stuff that "gets lost" in transit, stuff that gets scanned at customs and they decide it's "contraband" like cards/envelopes with cash in them (because some people don't want to pay the additional bank/Western Union fees), packages that simply get misplaced and people at the post offices are too lazy to look for them, or they get stolen straight out of your mailbox.

that's what i think.

if someone sends money in the cards, it's usually just 20 bucks nothing big. I dont know why ....it's old fashioned. and it's usually from an older generation. like an old aunty or uncle or grandma/grandpa, who aren't really into banks.... but bigger money is usually exchanged in the banks.

my husband's grandma sewed alot of clothing for children that were living in india, years ago,

she handmade everything and put everything in a box for delivery to ship there. she spent many days and weeks and nights to make those dresses.

then it NEVER got there. everyone was very sad.

but she was cheery and said, well, maybe some other poor girls got it, as long as they get use out of it .

even in the 1st world countries we have thieves that take it from your porch.

I saw a show where they had set up hidden cameras and busted postal workers taking stuff for themselves. Sad.
what the hell?

these people usually have full time jobs and get paid good. It's not like janitor or housekeeper work or working out in the fields picking strawberries.

they must be greedy and tempted alot. not even having a good full time job at a government type employment keeps them straight.

edit i bet even janitors don't take stuff.
