Am I walking in to a trap...? :P

Boring boring blah blah blah yadda yadda
So.
Scorp boy who is lovely and very chilled asks me to his birthday party tomorrow night.
First Decan Scorp yeh?
Anyhow, just before I met my now ex (so years ago now) he'd asked me out on a couple of dates and it was cool, very relaxed.
We used to sit together in year 9 math(ah reminiscing) I'd sit down he'd silently hand me one of his earphones and we'd study listening to ACDC, kiss, chilli peppers and never talk to each other but it was always cool. So being asked out was a bit out of the blue for me but at the time I thought of course, he's nice interesting deep and just generally awesome as a person so I happily went.
he tells me on this couple of dates he'd always had a huge crush on me in high school and stuff, which I was gob smacked and flattered but nothing came of our two and a half dates -although we remained friends. No kissing, holding hands, sex or anything just hanging out very nice - enjoyed it. No spark though.
I haven't seen him since. But I'm eager to go and socialise because I've just got to get out and about! It'll be nice to see him.
He's a musician very grounded but creative so I know the evening will be low key with his closest friends -some of whom we both went to school with and I haven't seen since 2002 lol
But yeh, just wondering if there's an agenda or will I be under 'observation' whether I can relax and just enjoy seeing him again.
I can't lead him on or flirt cos I just got outta long term relationship so I don't want to disrespect him like a rebound or anything.
Just wana keep it real.
