Do Scorpio men seek advice from their best friend?

I have been crazy about this Scorpio man for months and have known him for years. We are both older and have been through 2 failed relationships.. Our conversations flow like a river. both of us very comfortable and silly. I wrote him a letter a couple weeks ago expressing I would like more. No response. yet, his friend has made little comments about me bringing out the 'silly' in him. I haven't said a word at all to the friend, but I am thinking he may have told him something.. every time I see him, he offers me his food too. What should I make of this? His sun is Scorpio, Moon is Virgo, Venus is Scorpio and Mars is Leo. Now what?
