Kabbalah - Mazal: Akrav (Scorpio — the Scorpion)

Our sages teach us that the scorpion (_—_—_—_?) is the deadliest member of the general category of poisonous creatures whose archetypal figure is the primordial snake of Eden. The Hebrew word for —scorpion,?? derives from the word meaning —heel?? (_—_—_?) as is said: —And you [the snake] shall bite him [man] at the heel?? (Genesis 3:15). Thus the scorpion symbolizes the consummate —bite?? of the snake at the heel of man.

The Book of Formation speaks of seven planets in the solar system. In the last century, three more planets were revealed and as a result, Pluto has been found to bear influence on the sign of Scorpio.

All water signs are emotional, but Scorpions are particularly irrational when it comes to their emotions. They go to extremes,in both positive and negative respects. There is only black and white in the world of the Scorpion; no gray areas. If you are not their friend, then you are by default their enemy, and you will most definitely be treated that way.

Scorpio is ruled by the planet Mars, planet of war. It doesn't necessarily mean that they??re arguing all the time, but there is an ongoing tug of war within themselves, a battle between revealing their sweet side and unleashing their sting.

In Kabbalah, this is an extremely powerful month, and there are two great kabbalistic secrets I wish to share with you, to help you harness its potency. The first is, there are no Kabbalah holidays within this month. The Zohar says this is because the first night of Scorpio encompasses all the energy of the holidays.

The second secret is the Biblical event of Noah and the Great Flood occurred during this time. The Zohar says the great deluge happened as a result of the people's refusal to accept the teachings of the spiritual ways of the universe. They were flooded by their own negativity.

During this month, it's crucial we become more aware of our power and how our anger and kindness affects our lives and the people in our environment. Look around you, between global warming and people and homelands being destroyed, we are living in a world of Cheshvan, a world of bitter chaos.

Mankind can do something about it, by changing the way we act, especially during the month of Scorpio and native scorpions have an inherent transformational ability. If you have the vision and the urge to undertake great change, then you will discover in yourself the kindness and the discipline required for its manifestation.

Remember, we create our fate every day. Through Light and sweetness will the world be opened up, revealed for what it is intended to be, heaven on earth.

that's the point of scorpio. there is the energy to enable us to transform ourselves and others but unfortunately, it is a process that bows to the whim of the individual - hence the potential to sting. much depends on the level of evolvement and maturity of the individual as to the nature of the transformation. our mission is to understand how to use this ability for the greater good but in reality, greed and wordly pleasures have a greater resonance and divert our gaze. we can turn what is bad into something good or we can make things a whole lot worse. it depends on the energy we radiate.

the higher self is beyond mortality.

the phoenix is said to rise from the ashes but it is not clear as to whether it is a rebirth of the same phoenix (immortal) or another reproduced from the ashes of the fire (mortal). either way, from the ashes of fire, a new life is born and so is representative of the extremes of transformational abilities available to scorpios...from mortal ash to spiritual being.

i believe you can only reach a higher you if you are fully aware of your motivations which is a problem for scorpio personalities. sometimes we can be a feather for every wind that blows because we are not able to precisely pinpoint our feelings about something. reaching your higher self is not something many achieve during one lifetime. being the best you can be is the better and more practical approach to life imo.

the dark side is addictively appealing for scorpios. most often, we take what is good and turn it into shit. even people. we're selfish and rude and ignore people when it suits us and so they have no understanding of where they stand with us. we have no understanding of where we stand with us either and so it's hardly surprising. we mean well, but good intentions are not enough to make the transformation from seedy, depraved low-life to a pure spiritual being.
