hello scorpians 🙂 .. I come in peace, please don't sting me

I have this scorp friend who is going through so much in his personal and professional life that it is getting him miserably down. he was ok when we were both living together but after he moved to this new place three months ago he started feeling down partly because his girlfriend went back to her country to do university and he is really confused about her, their future seems bleak.

funny thing is that i never realised how bad he felt until one day i asked him and he opened up, but then since he doesnt seem to have gone better. constantly down, actively self destructive (he drank 1 litre of vodka one night and returned his guts out the next morning).

me and my gf are trying to help him but he seems to be getting worse, he's not eating much and when i am with him I have to physically force food down his throat.

my way of picking my guys up is to be upbeat in their presence and distract them from the current state but that doesn't work with him ... I really want to help him, can any scorps share how they got out of a down spell?

When I've felt that way, it almost seems as though everything my friends did to try to snap me out of it, actually ended up irritating me. Messed up, I know.

The only thing that helps me get through those periods is to be left alone to actually GO THROUGH whatever I'm feeling. Eventually, I'll reach some sort of conclusion about the situation and snap out if it.

Ahhhhh, yes. Speaking only for myself - Tough times take a much more noticable toll on me than I see in others. Feeling things is intense and we're not always sure what is going on. Shutting down seems like the protective thing to do, but we tend to alienate others in the process.

We tear things down and build them back up. Life/ death. All in a days work for a scorpio.

he certainly seems to be listening to a lot of sad melodies. the trouble is that this down spell is having a toll on his studies which are at a critical stage, I was looking for a quick fix to get him working at least.

he doesn't listen to my advice about drinking lots of juice and eating fruit when he doesnt feel hungry, I have to force food on him but that's only when I am around and even then he is so stubborn.

will taking him out partying help? cause we both need that desperately lol

Tell him to get some Nature Made brand "Sam-E" at the drugstore and take about 800 mgs a day. It works wonders for me after a break-up. Tell him to google "Sam-E for depression" and he can do his own research and of course don't take it if you are any other forms of depression medecine.

He HAS to go thru it, to come out the other end.
All you can do is be there for him, and believe me, that will be enough!

I was in a similar situation, my friends tried everything but it didnt work.
When i finally came out of it, i realised just what True Friends are.

Yep totally need to be left alone. They will come out at the end a better, stronger person. All you need to do is say ONCE that you are there for them if they need to talk but just leave it at that...don't pester, don't constantly ask how they are..as that is the most irritating thing and you will more than likely be stung by the ol' stinger..

funny developement ... he went to a therapist, a young lady and she was telling him all these compliments, how young he looks for his age and that she finds him handsome etc etc

that seemed to lift him up lol ... i could have told him that

you guys love compliments don't you

Laughs Help. Sometimes they hurt too though cuz if u make me happy when i just get out of a relationship unless you and him have that type of bond where he knows the commedy is from u to him. its might remind him of the happy times he had with his girl. But anyway After a Breakup the best thing for a scorp i would say is support no matter how much it is denied or regected.
