I'm just coming to realise how fundamentally different Scorpio energies are to Cancer energies, which is why i'm making this thread. I want to understand Scorpio energies, part to help me differentiate between the energies with in me and to also understand you guys more.

To be even more honest, as much as I read about this Scorpio energies (and my own placements), the more confused I am to how Scorpio energy even qualifies as a water sign energy.

Not attacking you guys, i'm just saying that if you read about scorpio energies, cancer energies and pisces energies, you can't help but feel that scorpio's are the odd ones out of that group.

Which is why i'm asking, how would you describe scorpio energy(ies) ?

and

how do you relate that to water sign energies ?

hope that made sense.

I was hoping for someone to contrast the energies and then... well.. as an example

A Pisces might describe the infamous pisces "escapasim" or "dreaming" energies and then they could tell us more about how these energies belong to the water sign domain. The pisces would probably say its all about emotional empathy, emotional reflectiveness and what not.. its just an example.

but when I think of scorpio energies, even though I can identify them individually and/or collectively, i'm not sure how they belong to the "water sign energy system", if that makes any sense.

was hoping someone can help me connect those dots together.

I don't see Scorpio's as water signs. I see them as fire signs, with earth/water sign tendencies. Again, its not an attack, its just an observation and i'm not sure if its valid.

My original line of thought was

A famous cancer: Let's say Tom Hanks for example, he made you feel bad for losing a volley ball. His character and talent have cancer or at least any water sign written all over him.

A famous Scorpio: Zaha Hadid for example, the first female winner of the Pritzker Architecture Prize. She kind of reinvented the wheel. When I think of Zaha Hadid or pretty much any other famous Scorpio, all I see is passion, drive, intensity and so on. But how is that "watery" ?

In all honesty, if it wasn't for astrology saying that Scorpio's are one of the most emotional signs, I wouldn't have ever guessed it. Or maybe I'm confusing emotional capacity with sensitivity and sensitivity is a cancer thing.

Anyway, thanks for everyone's input.

If I wasn't a scorpio, I would find it extremly difficult to understand WHY everything hit me twice as hard. Whether they admit it or not, there are a lot of 'hidden' tears involved in a scorpios life. A constant battle with them selves - a war in their minds about EVERYTHING. Even the way we think (am I thinking right here? I am, I'm not, let me try a new approach, no it's fine, I'm FINE.)& so on.
I agree we're just as fiery as any earth sign however were water signs purely because our EMOTIONS - some stronger and less sensitive than others, are deeper than the flippin' ocean.
Sometimes I wish I didn't care about protecting myself or people I loved as much. More chance of happiness. Having less people to care about so 'fiercely'. Also there's only a reasonably long time before what's hiding under that calm exterior get's ready to blow.
Whether it's negative- a hidden secret, mounds of suppressed stress. Or something positive and wonderful ready to chase after the biggest goal/dream & show how capable we really are.

This is my main problem 'Your motivation on the job is often fueled by your sense of fulfillment in your personal life. If you are feeling loved and wanted, your productivity is at its peak'
I can't go on if I don't feel like there's anything worth living for.
