Scorpio stare

So I work together with my Scorpio ex and he ignores me in front of my other co workers and when I'm in the conversation or walk up he will walk away. I gathered that he doesn't want anything to do with me. So, I will see him staring at me and if I catch him he will look away quick or continue to stare me down but inevitably he will look away. I asked him what his problem is and he says "nothing" but its like every time he stares at me and I continue to stare he's asking me why don't I hate him. He broke my heart in the past, and I did the smart thing and left him. Why does he stare at me is it like regret or I hate you for leaving me stare? I can't figure it out because it seems like both like he has a serious stare and a bold stare. I'm a Taurus
