Scorpios - only one true great love?

Curious as to whether Scorpios agree they have one truly great love who even if they are not together for whatever reason, they consider their "ONE" and no one else can measure up? In talking to my ex to firm up our separation (getting out of my lease, etc.) he has opened up to me that he thinks he lost the great love of his life in college (she broke up with him and moved across the country) and that in some respects he doesnt think he"ll truly be able to love anyone else -- that seems incredibly sad to me. I thought maybe he was rare, but in the past few weeks, I've been researching Scorpio men and reading some anecdotes, I've found a lot of men still pining for one ex or another and stringing along some poor, unsuspecting woman. I somehow don't see the Scorp women doing that as much as the men seem to do, but maybe it is somewhat the same for Scorpio women as well?

nah leb, I think people use that if they were the ones that were dumped or the timing wasn't right, etc - like clinging to hope of what could have been... not really reality.

Nah not me...Many people come and go throughout your life and with them come lessons and experiences..I have immense love for anyone who comes into my life that I have admired or respected in some way...all the others just pass through..I don't believe in the concept of soulmate..I think it's a pile of crap..and I am not of the forever mindset..although it's nice if something lasts forever..as it doesn't, I am not dillusional.

However, it seems to be more of a lose/win situation with scorp men of a sort. If they lose you completely it seems like they lost in some way? I don't quite know how to explain that.
