Sleep Eating Causes and Risks

Sleep eating, also known as night eating syndrome or sleep-related eating disorder, involves consuming food during sleep with little or no memory afterward. It can be linked to stress, sleep disturbances, or underlying psychological factors. Recognizing the signs and consulting a healthcare professional can help manage this condition effectively.

I just saw a news article about people (mostly women) who eat while they are sleeping. Like sleep walking, but eating!
They have no memory of this except for the cookie crumbs and empty bags of chips near the bed. What do you think this is about?

I had a thought that this sleep eating could be because of not gettin any between the sheet. No? Maybe part of it?
I don't really understand.
