Do any of you scorps have sleeping problems? My scorp does, he says that his body gets tired at night but his mind just keeps going and going(insomnia). If any of you scorps have insomnia, have you found a way to ease your mind in to sleep at night? My scorp takes tylonel pm every nite and I know that is bad for his stomach in the long run. But thats the only thing that works for him out of what he has tried. And tips for my scorp so he can get some sleep?

Excatly my problem, it's now 5 am and I cannot get no sleep. Tv doesn't work, sex doesn't work, reading nada,..... I eventually give up and just go surf online. Before I used to go to blockbuster every night @closing time and got a bunch of movies and watch them until I fall asleep. Now it got worst, I hate pills and so I stopped taking them. Worst part always in the morning when I have to get up early to do daily routines. 😢

Look into the stuff called Melatonin. Its availble over the counter at most health and drugstores. I've even seen it in grocery stores. Its supposed to help regulate your sleep pattern. I got introduced to it while doing lots of travelling and always having trouble re-adjusting to my sleep schedules after becoming jet-lagged. Doesnt have any side effects or day after problems. When I first started taking it, I had some really heavy dreams, but that went away once I got regular.

I personally will not opt for a formal diagnosis becox of the side effects such as maybe uhmm decreased libido I don't but I don't need a doctor I burn off alchol like it is nobody business, but then some people cannot handle some people don't even know were never diagnozed such as homeless people? y'know a lot of homeless people are hyperthyroids so are a lot of antisocials > by antisocial I don't mean loners > referring to bad antisocial behavior getting in trouble, fighting, temper tantrums, violence, getting into a lot of trouble with the cops so forth.

"""You have to be very very careful with things like that. It can interfere with other meds which have any kind of affect on serotonin and you can end up with serotonin syndrome."""

Eeeeks lol I dont think I'll tell him about that stuff.

But dang lots of you scorps have sleeping problems. Whats going through your mind at night? I dont have this problem, I can just lay down for about 20 mins and Im out like a light. Even when I have alot on my mind I still pass out. Minds are a powerful things lol.

i'm a scorpio and have a lot of difficulty sleeping at "bed time", pssh, i don't even know what bed time means. a lot of nights i have an extreme case of insomnia and i'm only 16, however my friend who is 20 years of age has the same as me (even worse) and she's a scorpio! i think a lot of my scorpio friends have sleeping problems but i don't know them weel enough to say that.

even if there wasn't the internet, television, or what not- i'd still be wide awake ! that's true, well for me anyway that my body is a sleep and my minds awake and sometimes it's the other way round. strange . . .

i hope he gets it sorted. he probably has a lot on his mind, stressed?

For making your mind more restful before bed. Shutting off the brain to stimulating activities any hour before sleep should help. Like computer, talking on the phone, etc. Or if you want you could try giving him a short massage before bed too if he's really worked up. There is actually an accupressure point on the wrist, below the pinky. It's very helpful for inducing sleep when used correctly. I have used this on people and gotton great results.

But also if you have a racing mind at bed time you can try taking a magnesium/calcium mixture, that's in a tasteless powder form in water or capsule. Also try taking a b-complex formula during the day, this will make your body handle stress better throughout the day to create balance at night. Taking a walk after dinner for even 15 minutes or some form of exercise during the day will wind you down too.

L-theanine, a component of green tea comes in capsules in a health food store can also do the trick. As it increases the alpha-brainwaves that are associated with a meditative state of being. It has no side effects and or interactions on any level. Not even with serotonin drugs, has no effect of blood pressure either. It's very useful in tension headaches as well as anxiety. Also used for people on bi-polar meds to decrease anxiety.

I would just warn to be careful with taking hormones like melatonin and DHEA. As you can shut off the production of melatonin if you take it on a regular basis, if your body isn't truly low in it. The elderly should be low however someone young shouldn't be. If you take this or have an endocrine disease you can have a bad blood pressure drop if you are dehydrated since it suppresses your adrenal gland function. Your body only needs .2-.5mg and 1-2mg is actually overdosing as they have on recommended bottles in stores. Taking it once in a while can be fine but on a more regular basis I wouldn't use it unless you have blood work checking your levels prior. The same for DHEA, those levels of hormones shouldn't begin dropping till you are at least 30, anything extra can cause an upset in your testosterone levels as well as adrenal function necessary for blood pressure regulation and cortisol output.

Oh MH if it were "required" of me, I sure as hell WOULDN'T do it. No, hubby doesn't demand I stay in the kitchen and bedroom. He knows better than that.

It's just that, when I leave him to his own devices, he just doesnt get it together...well...at least not in my eyes...so I just have to feed the poor baby 😛

Man cannot live on pasta alone. So I just rustle up some rice, meat, vegetables, potatoes, etc. What can I say? I AM a bull after all.

MH, don't worry, I know what you mean 🙂 A man and women married and living should be sharing the respondsibilites, not just one person doing everything. I completely agree with you.

I remember telling my boyfriend once that if my parents got a divorce, I would of had to live with my dad, and that I would have turned into my mom in a way reminding him and constantly repeating things over and over for him to get stuff around the house done. & my boyfriend said that there is a way to say things like that so that its not a nagging annoying tone. lol I just thought Id add that in there.
