Of someone you're dating or your boyfriend/girlfriend? Basically social media websites. (not really stalking as it's the public internet but whatever)
How do I stop myself!?
Now I feel myself pulling away because I'm jealous about what their relationship was... actually just afraid of it starting up again.
It was so serious and intense and now it's over and I'm like holy shit, why even bother?? I'm also young so I've never had that yet.

I know! 😢
And what's funny is I broke up with a long term ex at the end of June and I don't miss him one bit. Could be the same situation on the other end, but that's not really any of my business I guess.

I did this for quite some time....
Was ALWAYS watching what my gf (at the time) ex was up to. Always watching how much she was popular and Id actually get jealous of her life instead of focusing on my relationship...
Even though we had the issue of her going back to speak to her off and on.....
It did serve some purpose but it was also hurting me to keep looking...
Its tormenting...and its self abuse ( i think)
Best thing to do is focus on your relationship. Block the person....or deactivate your network...
But if you REALLY want to, you will HAVE to make yourself do it.

Girl allow yourself to be great. I know it hurts and it feels humiliating when they're posting on social media showing the world that they moved on but obsessing over it is just gonna bring you down.

I've known him for 6 weeks and I'm starting to like him a lot. Like where I see a big black hole in the schedule tomorrow if we stopped talking because we've talked every day since we've met and we see each other twice a week.

it's like man, please, I know some people can hang out at restaurants, arcades, bars, mini golf, all those places and have fun, witty banter that can go on for ages cause they??ve met their match, talk about their daily lives, pasts, feelings, goals, dreams AND have great sex without developing feelings but I'm going to eventually fall for you!!

and then I go and read this shit!

Social media is bullshit.

Pseudo-reality that you can alter or tweak, at will.

No one posts things that show them in an unflattering light-- only the best (real or imagined!) makes

it to the screen.

It's not really fair to use that as your sole source of info, much less on the sly.

If that is what is causing your insecurity, then shame on you. lol

In a nice way-- but cut that shit out.

🙂

You know what that is so true! She is hardly going to tweet 'pissed at him again', 'hasn't called back like he said he would' or 'forgot it was my bday again' lol
I'm just very guarded, suspicious and don't fully trust until you show me you can be trusted. I've learned from my past relationships, I'm going to keep this at a steady pace for at least another two months, if he sticks around that long.

Otherwise you'll continue to do this:

and sabotage your relationship. I'd also do some serious work on your jealousy and insecurity.

Even with a crush, if i see any once of a girl buzzing around him, i go into suspicious/hate mode. real talk.

What about past relationships? Do you feel put off by past gfs?

naw, this only happens with guys where i dont know where i stand with them. The flings/crushes where i knew where i stood, no insecurities.

I hear you... but if all that "intensity" was so amazing, they would still be together.

And as Phoenix pointed out-- they aren't.

It's like you're cheating yourself of the opportunity to be who you are by erecting a standard

that has already failed.

And that isn't fair to you. Or him.

That's all. 🙂

Hello ChattyScorpio,

You can stop that by doing something for yourself... go out and have fun with friends or start joining groups.

Don't just sitting down and snooping other profile. It make you sick and feel jealous.

Listen up. Some people are just soo sick uploading their photos to show off the world how happy they are

but hey these are just * defense mechanism * to fill in their *insecurities in life*.
